YouTube Influencer of the Month: FashionByAlly


Meet Ally – our influencer of the month! She’s a born and raised California girl who strives to inspire her followers through her DIY and lifestyle videos. She’s deeply in tune with her subscribers and is always looking for what they want to see from her next, which has led her to create two separate channels, FashionByAlly and Ally Vlogs. What we love about her is that she is fiercely loyal to her fans, the #FamAlly, and is always thinking about how best to engage with them through the videos and content she creates.

We loved working with her on the Stella York Bridal campaign, where she gave her subscribers tips and trends for wedding dress shopping.

Since she produced such great content for the client and her followers on this campaign, we selected her to work with us on a top secret Olay shoot that we just wrapped up. While at the shoot, we asked her to answer a few questions about herself and why she loves being a YouTube influencer.

  • I am obsessed with my dogs Coby and Bella.
  • I can speak 3 dialects of Chinese: Cantonese, Taishan, and Mandarin.
  • I am introverted and have spent my life trying to become more extroverted.

I have an obsession with boba milk tea! What made you want to become a content creator?

When I was a little girl, I’ve always dreamed of working in film or animation. Today, I’m happy to be a part of an online platform like YouTube, where I can share my creativity and passion for fashion and film with like-minded individuals.

What advice would you give to someone that is just starting out?

Work hard and be yourself! As cheesy as it sounds, your personality will make you stand out on YouTube.

I’m lucky to work on a campaign with Olay with a few other amazing YouTubers.

As you can tell, Ally always stays true to her personal brand through producing authentic content. She’s always bringing her fresh, out-of-the-box ideas to the table, which clients and her subscribers (and!) love about her. Although she has only been a creator for a few months now, she’s no stranger to the YouTube world and we can’t wait to work with her in future campaigns.
